Upholstery Cleaners in Kent
Upholstery Cleaning Service
When carrying out professional upholstery cleaning we come across a vast range of fabrics available and therefore, careful consideration is given to the type of process we use, depending on what we find during a survey.
The most important procedure when carrying out a survey on the fabric in question prior to cleaning, would be to implement both a water and croc test to establish pile density, construction and dye bleed.
In regards to the seating units/cushions, the filling or content inside needs to be confirmed to determine whether they are made of foam or something more intricate such as horsehair or duck feathers. We would adapt the cleaning process to suit every eventuality. The most common fabrics we come across are:-
- Draylon
- Cotton/Polyester
- Faux Suede
- Velvet
- Rayon
- Viscose
All of which require a different cleaning processes in terms of moisture content etc.
In some instances some materials can hold a lot of excess moisture having been cleaned. If this occurs we can supply you with appropriate drying equipment to expediate the drying process and if needed, we can leave this on site and collect the next day.

Do’s and Don’ts
Always appoint a professional cleaning company.
If you have a liquid spillage, this can be dealt with quickly by mopping up the excess with a dry white terry towel or clean undyed towel followed by a damp wipe with water only. You would need to ensure the whole panel or cushion is evenly wiped over to avoid any water marking.
